DANA FOENANDER
"Hi my name is Dana and my pronouns are she/they.
I was first introduced to yoga nearly 20 years ago when studying theatre and dance but didn’t fully commit to the practice until about 10 years ago. Since then yoga has completely transformed my life. It was the first time I had encountered any kind of physical activity that allowed me to listen and ask my body what it wanted, rather than me telling my body what it needed to do or how it should be performing.
The benefits that yoga provides are limitless and yoga has led me into a continued journey of healing, self-discovery, compassion and challenge, both on and off the mat.
I believe that yoga can be for anyone and everyone, and I strive to create a space where you can come as you are, knowing that however you’ve arrived is exactly right (and that just making it to class can sometimes be half the effort!). My wish is that people who attend my class have the opportunity to find connection and walk away feeling a little bit lighter in mind, body and spirit. However, if you just feel like disconnecting from the day or having a stretch, then that’s great too!
Expect my classes to allow you drop into a state of flow, starting with some breath work and maybe an invitational peak pose thrown in for fun. I aim to create a welcoming, inclusive and light hearted space, providing guidance whilst empowering you to be the master of your own practice. I teach vinyasa, slow flow and yin. I look forward to practicing together!"
